Meldonfield. Created by Eldon & Mary Zimmermann. They are makers of Miniature Horse-Drawn Vehicles of Yesteryear and their little people.
These scale miniatures reflect the true pioneers of the bush. They include much of the horse drawn transport of a previous era. The miniature horse drawn vehicles are individually hand crafted by Eldon & Mary to the style that the wheelwrights and coach builders used in the 1800s.
Eldon and Mary are working on a scale model of the original Petersburg Railway Station circa 1885, which was disposed of in 1960. The remains of which are out on a creek bed north west of Peterborough. It is from this source that they are able to collect the original stone and bricks which are used in the model, the construction of which can be seen in progress at Meldonfield.
