Dragons Rest Habitat Garden

Dragons Rest is named after the Bearded Dragons which live and breed in the garden. It is owned by Brian & Barbara Parry and is situated in Watkin's Road.

This is how they describe it...
"Dragons Rest is not a manicured garden. On our 10-acre block we have chosen to develop a wildlife-friendly Habitat Garden with a focus on FOOD. Food for us, and also for the lizards, birds, frogs, dragonflies, butterflies and myriad of other insects which share our garden. Our diverse range of plants include Eucalypts and Callistemon in windbreaks-Eremophilias, Grasses and Conifers around the pond areas - a collection of Bearded Iris (flowering Oct/Nov) in the Citrus Garden, Canna Lilies and New Zealand Flax in the shadehouse, and a large vegetable garden.
Re-use and recycling materials is to the chooks and compost-heap.

The entry fee of $3 for Adults and $1 for children helps further development of the Garden (there's going to be a lot of that).

Open most days from 8:30am to 12 Noon and 3pm to 6pm.

You are welcome to visit at other times by arrangement. Coaches are welcome by appointment. Please Note- Children must be supervised by an Adult.
Sorry, no dogs/cats and no smoking.
